Do I qualify for Arizona State Residency with Northern Arizona University (NAU)?

Military service-members, as well as family members, can qualify for Arizona State Residency. When applying for admission, submit a copy of your original military orders stationing you in Yuma. Visit the Office of the Bursar’s web site for information on current tuition rates.

Does NAU accept American Council on Education (ACE) Military Credits?

NAU may accept up to 35 units of ACE military credits as transfer credit. The specific credits NAU accepts are those offered by different branches of the U.S. Armed Forces and certified by the American Council on Education. For more information about receiving transfer credit for these units, contact the transfer evaluation office in Undergraduate Admissions, at 928-523-5511.

Does NAU accept College Level Examination Program (CLEP) credits?

Yes, NAU in Yuma does accept CLEP credits. Meet with an NAU academic advisor to determine which program requirements your CLEP credits fulfill.

Will NAU evaluate military training from DD295 for credit?

Military training completed through an accredited institution will transfer. Eligibility is determined by the NAU Registrar.

If I relocate, will my NAU credits transfer to other universities?

You may have the option to finish your degree online with NAU. If you choose another university, NAU is accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools, which identifies programs with high quality standards as recognized by the academic community However, each institution makes the final determination of what classes will transfer. Take a copy of your NAU transcripts when registering with another university.

Does NAU-Yuma offer evening and weekend classes?

Our classes are designed to meet the needs of the busy, non-traditional student who may be balancing a job and family. Therefore, our classes are scheduled in the late afternoons and evenings, as well as on the weekends. There are also Web-based classes, which gives you the freedom to complete the course work at your convenience.

Is there public transportation to the AWC/NAU-Yuma Campus?
