About the Program

The Bachelor of Applied Science specializing in Social and Community Service is designed for students with an associate degree from community college to provide the education and skills to enter into or seek promotion within careers in government, private, or public agencies whose focus is on public service. With this program, you focus on Social and Community Service including delivery of services to individuals and communities. Courses are designed to help you acquire a general knowledge of management, organizational, and policy issues while advancing your professional communication, computer, and quantitative skills. Students will have the opportunity to increase understanding of group, organizational, and institutional processes and help students develop insights about societies, diversity, and social interaction. This program does not lead to licensure as a Social Worker.
