About the Program

This 36-unit, theoretically oriented plan is appropriate if you are interested in improving your skills in the workplace, developing leadership skills or continuing to the Ph. D level in psychology or a psychology-related degree.  Students are diverse and come from working backgrounds in the military, student services, health professions, criminal justice, business, human services and education.  Depending on the elective block you choose, the degree can result in a variety of specialized certificates and in-state certification to teach at the community college.  Courses for this program are also offered online. This program does not meet the requirements for the guidance counselor certification of the Arizona Department of Education, the certified/licensed professional counselor credential of the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners, or the national counselor certification of the National Board for Certified Counselors.
